Thoughtfulness starts before arrival
A room’s appearance is only one factor. Clear prices, an easy entrance, preparation space and a backup option can reduce uncertainty. Check the details with your partner rather than deciding everything for them.
Look beyond photogenic décor
Bathroom photos, room details and clear pricing tell you more about practical suitability than a striking social-media image alone. Pictures cannot guarantee current cleanliness.
Consider getting ready
Look for the washbasin, mirror, lighting, towels and hairdryer. If you need makeup remover, skincare, hair tools or charging equipment, ask whether those exact items are supplied or can be borrowed.
Know the final cost
Compare rest, daytime, overnight and extension prices for your actual visit. Share the expected total and duration before entry so neither guest is left uncertain.
Have a backup without pressure
Availability changes on busy dates. A nearby second candidate can avoid a long search, but going elsewhere or going home remains an option. REFRAIN and SHUFFLE are neighbours near Exit C1.
For a first visit, favour clarity
A visible route, clear room photos and understandable payment arrangements may be more useful than dramatic styling. Consider whether both guests feel comfortable with the entrance.
A practical overnight checklist
Check bathroom photos, the applicable price and extensions, booking or availability, the route, entrance, needed amenities and checkout time. Use reviews to identify questions rather than treating them as guarantees.

REFRAIN is approximately one minute from Exit C1. Check both its rooms and sister hotel SHUFFLE against the same practical requirements.
Start with three essentials
If short on time, check the room details, total rate and availability first. A clear, shared choice is more useful than simply picking somewhere because it looks impressive.
